After hitting the stage for the first time in 2003, Rob Brown has become one of Australia’s leading stand-up comedians. From the moment Rob takes the stage, he can capture a room and entertain audiences with his clever and funny stories and observations in a style that is truly his own.
Rob Brown’s comedy has an edge to it – a familiarity that we can all recognise in ourselves, our partners, children, workmates and the person who has 9 items in the 8 items or less lane, you’ll know them all!
Rob has been very lucky with his career choices…always moving from job to job, meeting new challenges – each providing their own special ingredient to Rob’s stand up show.
Rob is a comedian that draws his material from experiences such as, when he was a kid living in a caravan park, working in maximum security prisons, his own family life with wife and children, and his time training security services in Iraq (which one is more dangerous?).
Some may describe Rob’s comedy as “direct”, while others may say it’s sometimes “conventionally unconstrained” (this is PC for someone who isn’t PC)… but all agree his is very, very funny.
From short “clean” TV friendly spots as seen on Channel 9's "The Footy Show (NRL)", straight corporate events where Rob has performed for NRL Club - Gold Coast Titans, Queensland Liquor Licensing, Queensland State of Origin Lunch and many more, and the live headline performances in venues around Australia including Treasury Casino, The Sit Down Comedy Club, and the Gold Coast Arts Centre to name a few, Rob Brown has a show that will leave you aching with laughter and wanting more.
See you at the show...
