John Peacock
In 2012, John Peacock was ‘Australian Carpet Cleaner of the Year’. Now he’s a middle-aged man with a bee in his bonnet and several mental health issues. He may also be gluten intolerant.
At the age of 44, John worked out what he wanted to do when he grew up. Spending long periods of time alone with his wand (carpet cleaning wand) in his hand gives John time to think about the world. It’s not perfect, the world that is, but he has a plan. It’s not much of a plan in fairness and basically involves telling dick jokes to strangers in an attempt to avoid the hard work that would invariably be involved in actually making the world a better place.
John Peacock is an experienced comic, much sought-after MC, award-winning public speaker, magazine columnist and enduring anchor of breakfast radio on the iconic Byron Bay FM. A modern day Man for All Seasons, except for summer, which he finds a bit too hot and sweaty. His debut show Carpet Diem premiered to rave reviews and a sell out at the 2023 Good Chat Comedy Festival; and he has also been seen and loved by audiences at Perth FRINGE WORLD and Adelaide Fringe.
