Kara Robinson

Kara Robinson is fast becoming an absolute icon on the scene after rising from the ashes of a failed pilot career last year. Kara was a QLD State Finalist in RAW 2022, Runner up of the Sunshine Coast Comedy Festival Laughable Comp 2022, and featured in Best of Raw QLD 2023. Her often dark and witty takes on comparisons of an upbringing in a third world country to modern Australian life will leave you in stitches.

Locally based Kara Robinson hails from the high lands of Papua New Guinea was a truck driver in the Australian Army, a pilot and a university lecturer turned comedian. She has performed all over Queensland, in New Zealand, at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and at Townsville’ NAFA.

Kara has opened for Luke Heggie, Jarryd Goundrey, and in 2023 started her own comedy company, Divine Comedy. Divine has seen the likes of Dan Rath, Bron Lewis, Craig Quartermaine, Anisa Nandaula and Dusty Rich all grace it’s stages in a string of sold out shows produced by Kara. She also created a podcast called Great Comedic Minds, featuring many early Simpsons writers, F is for Family Co-Creator and many other comedy greats of the world as guests.
