Tim Blackwell
Tim has worked his way up in the radio world and now his antics can be heard every morning co hosting NOVA 1069 with Meshell Laurie and Marty Sheargold Brisbane’s breakfast show.
He also has his own national music show on Nova on Sunday’s from 5pm- 6pm.
He has come a long way since growing up in Hobart. Tim has been appearing on radio ever since he convinced his local Sydney community station to let him on air. Since then, he hasn’t stopped and now he actually gets paid to do what he loves!
Tim has worked as the anchor of the Hughesy and Kate breakfast show on Melbourne’s Nova 100 FM. This meant laughing at all of Hughesy’s jokes and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
With the Nova Network since 2001, Tim was the first voice on air to launch Perth’s Nova 93.7 FM with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and soon moved back to Sydney to host the drive show on Nova 96.9 FM.
Since the start of 2009 Tim was co host with Hayley Pearson on Nova 100 nightly show Launchpad. NOVA love him so much that they up and lifted Tim to Brisbane for their breakfast show. The 7pm Project on Network Ten heard about Tim and consequently now he can be seen every Friday night doing the Metro whip around for Brisbane.
As well as all of this, Tim has had the opportunity to travel the world interviewing some of the musical world’s biggest names for radio & online material, including hosting an exclusive online doco for the recent V Festival with the Queens of the Stone Age and Duran Duran.
